I came back home after 12 years...
I was never ready to return...

friend, I was never ready to return…
When we left Egypt abruptly back in 2012, it was during a politically turbulent time, the people have overthrown the old regime in hopes for true democracy…this was the Arab spring.
Moving to the US at 19 years old, I was redefining what it means to be my own independent person as a Middle Eastern North African woman, which if you know anything about our culture, you’d know that being independent as a woman is no easy feat.
This move led me to a lot of travel, exploring my own concept of HOME, JOY and FREEDOM.
I became obsessed with the concept of freedom.
My personal freedom.
Freedom from systems, social structures & how I was supposed to be & live.
Which eventually fueled my current philosophy in business!
I got tattoos. I wore my hair big and wild. I traveled solo. I made my own money. I quit my corporate job. I started my own business. I traveled and ran my business full time for years.
So finally coming back to the only true home I know, feels like reconnecting with the parts of myself that I left (rejected) in order to find my freedom.
Excited to bring you along and to share with you how our personal journeys are directly related to our business.
Tune into my IG stories @vivaciouslymarina for daily updates and podcast for deeper insights into how I came back and why now.
